Change Can Be Unsettling, BUT It Is Necessary

Change is uncomfortable, it's unsettling and

sometimes it is downright painful, but in the long run,

the alternative is often much, much worse.

Let's face the music, most of us are willing to change just enough to get away from our problems, but not enough to solve them. We want to change our circumstances to improve our lives, instead of changing ourselves& to improve our circumstances. We tend to resist changing things in our lives when it affects our idea, our position or practice that is important to us.

WHY DO WE RESIST CHANGE?

Resistance is our tendency to avoid growth.

It is so easy for all of us to find fault and see where other people are missing it and where they need to change, when we ourselves continue to have unresolved issues of our own that we are not willing to do anything about. The Bible says it best in Matthew 7:5, "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." THE BUCK STOPS HERE with you and I. Do we want to live a fulfilled life and allow the Holy Spirit to do a work IN US and THROUGH US and change us from the inside out, into HIS image and HIS likeness OR do we want to remain the same, NO CHANGE??? WE CANNOT CHANGE OURSELVES, but the Holy Spirit can transform our hearts and our lives! The Bible says in John 14:26 that the Holy Spirit is our helper, comforter, advocate, intercessor, counselor, strengthener and will stand by us.

WE ALL NEED HIS HELP!

Ask yourself this question: Do I want to continue going around and around the same mountains in my life, stubborn and unwilling to CHANGE?

Freedom comes when we are willing to let go of our way and take hold of His way!

My continual prayer: Change my heart Oh God, make it ever true, change my heart Oh God, may I be like you. You are the potter, I am the clay, melt me and mold me, this is what I pray. CHANGE MY HEART OH GOD!
