Calling: Is an invitation or vocation specifically meant for you. Think about receiving an invitation in the mail addressed to you. It is your access card to the event.
God is calling you and me! He is inviting us to accept salvation in His kingdom through Jesus Christ. This invitation is given outwardly by the preaching of the gospel, and inwardly by the work of the Holy Spirit. Will we choose to answer the call and accept His invitation? John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Romans 10:13 says, "For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." Why is it so important for you and I to answer this call, this invite? I'm glad you asked! Being born-again, becoming the child of God, is the key which unlocks all God's provisions and promises to us. It immediately puts us under the care, under the protection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The 23rd Psalm now belongs to us. We can wake up in the morning and say, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I do not want. I do not want for ability. I do not want for strength. I do not want for money. I do not want for anything." HE is a good, good Father! Acts 17:28 - "For in HIM we live, and move and have our being." What a vast storehouse of power! In Christ I have life, energy, and strength for the impossible tasks ahead! In Romans 8:37 it says, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. This tells us we are more than conquerors through Him. Rather than saying, "I'm defeated," rise up and say what the Bible says about you. Say, "I am a conqueror!" It may not seem to you that you are a conqueror - but your confession of it, because of what you see in God's Word, will create the reality of it in your life. Sooner or later you will become what you confess.
I will not be afraid of any circumstances. I will not be afraid of any disease. I will not be afraid of any conditions. I will face life fearlessly, a conqueror!
