My Chains Are Gone, I've Been Set FREE!

People are crying out for freedom everywhere in our world today trying to fill the empty void within them and bring a sense of peace into their life. What does it mean to be FREE? I believe true freedom is from within - a feeling deep in my spirit that affects every part of my being. Freedom is a peaceful mind, a peaceful will and peaceful emotions - free from feeling I have to figure everything out, and from being anxious and fearful. Peace does not have a price tag. We could have lots of money in the bank, a new car, a new home, our health, you name it, but if we don't have peace in our soul we can't enjoy any of it. Even though I have a wonderful husband and a great family, I don't know of anything that brings me greater peace within than spending time in prayer and being still in the presence of God. I am forever reminded that spending time in God's presence is not optional for me - it's mandatory. I cannot survive the pressures and problems of life without His precious presence. I can't just hope to be free. It is necessary for me to obey God's Word and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. It means that I can't just hear or read the Word to get results, but I also need to do what it says. He is called Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.... He is the Great Creator, Great Physician, and Strong Tower... He is the Redeemer, Righteous One, and the Rock Of Ages.... and the list goes on. His many names reveal His many qualities, His wisdom, His healing, His creativity, His righteousness, His freedom and His peace. My friends, I pray that God will encourage you to seek after the freedom that is yours in Jesus. Since God didn't create us to live in bondage of any kind, we can experience Liberty - freedom to enjoy ALL that God has given us in Christ.

John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
