Life Happens To All Of Us

Life happens to all of us and there are situations beyond our control like illness, the death of a loved one, past abuse, a personal failure, an unmet expectation and things not turning out the way we had hoped, that literally cause us to be frozen for a moment in time, where we somehow think our life is over and that our situation will never change.

It is easy when we are in this frozen state to lose sight of what God can do because of something in our past that has us stuck in the mud, unable to move forward with the plans He wants to reveal to us.

The God I serve is a God of the second, third and fourth chance, with a fresh start and new beginnings. He doesn't have any limit on how many we can have. We all need a second chance at life, and no matter who we are or what our situation; HOPE is one thing we all desperately need.

Never assume that where you've been or where you are is as good as it gets. Jesus says in Matthew 19:26 "With men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God. It doesn't matter what your situation is; God is greater than any obstacle you may be facing. Go ahead and get your hopes up!

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible. You'll feel cramped your whole life when you don't live by faith. As your faith grows you will find that you no longer need to have a sense of control. Things will flow as God wills and you will be able to flow with them. Franklin Roosevelt said, "The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubt of today."

Hope and faith go hand in hand.

Hope brings us into believing that things might just work out after all.

Romans 15:13: May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing with hope.
