CHANGE Can Be A Good Thing!

A New Season Can Bring Fresh Vision,

And A New Perspective In Your Life

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

After being the Director of the Pregnancy Support Services for a period of five years, I was in a place where the Centre was operating smoothly and was in good shape,

then a change came....

I would go into work and could sense that the grace of God had lifted from me. It was like something didn't fit anymore, similar to having a pair of shoes on that didn't fit. I then decided to seek the Lord on this and also get some wise counsel from my Pastor as to whether I should leave this position. My Pastor's advice was to stay for six more months to make sure that this was a solid decision. I followed his advice and stayed for six more months. After this time, the discomfort was still present, and I had the sense that something didn't fit and that I needed to let this position go. I certainly didn't know why the Lord was leading me to leave, as I didn't have another position to go to at the time.

It had nothing to do with the people or the place -

it had everything to do with what God was doing in me.

This Is Important: Do not leave your job, ministry or commitment that you are now in because you run into difficulty with the people around you. God will give you the wisdom you need to be an overcomer and teach you how to operate in love towards those who can be difficult to work with. This is called putting our flesh, (mind, will and emotions) under submission to Christ's way of doing things.

If God is moving you into a new season, you will go out in joy and be led forth in peace... (Isaiah 55:12). You will not be angry, bitter or offended toward anyone. If you've outgrown the place you're presently in, your departure will more likely be marked by a mixture of bittersweet emotions, including sadness and joy, excitement and uncertainty. Nevertheless, deep inside you'll know it's time to move on and embrace the new place God has for you.

Little did I know the plans that God had

already prepared for me to walk into.

Immediately, after completing my time at the Pregnancy Centre, a position opened up at Selwyn Outreach Centre to help with the administration of the school, New Life Christian Academy. A whole new opportunity opened up that I couldn't have imagined. After a few years, I was privileged to assist our Pastor in overseeing many areas of the church, along with the school duties. During the same time, I began what took two years to complete, the Rhema Correspondence Bible School course online. The month I graduated, our Pastor asked if I would like to get ordained under the Independent Assemblies of God and become a Pastor. I have had the honor and privilege to serve as a Pastor now, encouraging and supporting the women in our church and community.

WOW! What if I had not moved on in the new season God had prepared for me?

He has made everything beautiful in its time!
