Its The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year - So The Song Says!
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to watch a video of ourselves during the Christmas Holiday Season. With all the hustle and bustle of the season, it is so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of the things we think we need to do and the places we think we need to go, instead of enjoying the reason for the season.
Often times we find ourselves saying YES with our mouth and NO with our hearts. When we do that, we end up getting frustrated with ourselves, and taking it out on the people closest to us. It is okay to say the word "NO" when your heart is in agreement.
I will say, it is a challenge to balance the demands of the Christmas season and stay focused on the things that really matter - things like celebrating the birth of Jesus, recognizing His love and presence in our lives, and having memorable times with family and friends.
What if we prayed and asked the Lord to give us opportunities to encourage others during this Christmas season and expect the Holy Spirit to draw us to the people who may be struggling in their lives, so we can speak words of life to them.
What a great gift to give!
Proverbs 25:11 says, "A word fitly spoken and in due season is like apples of gold in settings of silver."
So this Christmas let's focus on what is truly important by remembering how loved and blessed we are because of the greatest gift and blessing God gave us in Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
You can't put GOD in a box and wrap HIM up - but HE did put himself in a book!
And not just a book about HIM
HE is actually IN the book!
I hope you are all able to fully enjoy the season with your family and friends and I pray you experience the peace and joy of our Lord during this special time of year!
