Putting The Past Behind You

Jesus Can Heal You Everywhere You Hurt!

Through a personal relationship with Him, we have the privilege of speaking the name of Jesus and believing in the power of God to completely heal us. But there are a few things we must do in order for the Holy Spirit to complete the work He began in us when we accepted Christ as our personal Savior.

  1. We need to admit when we need help. Don't be afraid to go to God and say, "I want to live in truth. Open my eyes where I'm deceived and teach me truth. We can be real with God. Sometimes it's good to talk to someone that has wise counsel and get things out in the open. Secrets we bury will just keep eating at us. (James 5:16)

  2. Take responsibility for our own happiness - unhappy people want to make other people unhappy. Maybe what happened to you wasn't your fault, but it doesn't have to be an excuse to keep blaming others. It will take time, study and prayer to walk out this healing, but you can do all things you need to do with the Holy Spirit's help. Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".

  3. Don't put it off until tomorrow - "Tomorrow" is one of the most dangerous words in our English language. You don't have to wait to forgive those who hurt you, or keep saying it's too hard. Decide today to forgive!

Isaiah 61:1 is one of my favorite scriptures - Jesus came to bind up and heal the brokenhearted....to give them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Let Jesus gather up the pieces. Hand over your ashes, God wants to give you beauty instead of ashes.

Ask Him to help you, He did if for me and I know He will do it for you!
